Document Delivery Service

Document Delivery Service

The mission of the Document Delivery Service as stated in its policy is to help distant users obtain electronic or reproductive copies of documents and material held in the ILC in order to further satisfy their educational and research needs.

What is Document Delivery Service?

The DDS is a reproduction service for CITY College off-campus and PhD students who cannot visit the ILC. Articles from print journals or chapters from books, conference proceedings and dissertations held by the ILC can be scanned and delivered to students’ desktop.

Additionally, students living outside Thessaloniki or abroad may also use the DDS to request items held in the ILC collections to be sent to their home or business address. In case of print library stock, requestors remain responsible for the safe return of the dispatched items.

The Procedure

It is essential to first advice OpenABEKT Online Library Catalogue to ensure that the item is in stock. Once you have confirmed that the item is held by the ILC, you may then send your request to the library. The DDS may be used during the whole academic year with the exception of Christmas, Easter and summer vacation (July to 30 August).

How do I use the Document Delivery Service?

Please complete the Document Supply Services request form including full bibliographic and personal details. All requests should be sent to library@york.citycollege.eu.

Requestors may also contact (email, phone + 30 2310 528450) the ILC staff for help and advice on the Document Delivery Service procedure.
