We would like to reassure you that CITY College is following closely any announcements (guidance and advice for higher education institutions) from relevant Health Organisations and local Ministries of Health and we act accordingly. This section is updated frequently as CITY College follows the latest updates and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs and the National Public Health Organisation of Greece (eody.gov.gr)

Classes online continue during the 2nd semester
Classes during the 2nd semester (Spring Semester) will continue to be delivered synchronously online. According to the latest announcement of the Greek Ministry of Education, all university institutions will continue to suspend face-to-face classes and services as a necessary measure to control the spread of coronavirus.

As always, all services will continue to be offered online in real-time (synchronous) delivery. CITY College academic staff, student services, library, career and employability staff, and all administration continue to be fully operational.

10/12/2020

Classes online until the end of semester and online exams
Following the latest announcements of the Greek Ministry of Education all university institutions will continue to suspend face-to-face classes and services as a necessary measure to control the spread of coronavirus.

As we are now on the 10th week of classes, we would like to inform you that all classes will continue to be delivered synchronously online until the end of the semester. Final examinations will be taken online as in the previous semesters. The examination schedule as well as instructions will be sent to you before the Christmas break.

All services will continue to be offered online in real-time (synchronous) delivery. CITY College academic staff, student services, library, career and employability staff, and all administration continue being fully operational and remain at our students' disposal.

Extension of online classes until 7 December 2020 
Following the latest announcements by the government, CITY College will extend online classes until the 7th of December. All services will continue to be offered online in real-time (synchronous) delivery. CITY College academic staff, student services, library, career and employability staff, and all administration continue being fully operational and remain at our students' disposal.

On 8th of December, our intention is to return to face-to-face classes on campus if the situation allows it, but at the same time we will continue to offer the same classes via LIVESTREAM for students who will not be able to be physically present. By adopting this mixed model of delivery until Christmas break, our intention is to offer the best possible solution to our students to continue their university education under these strenuous circumstances.

Extension of online classes until 30 November 2020 
Following the latest announcements, CITY College will extend online classes until the 30th of November. All services will continue to be offered online in real-time (synchronous) delivery. CITY College academic staff, student services, library, career and employability staff, and all administration continue being fully operational and remain at our students' disposal.

Suspension of face-to-face classes until 17 November 2020

The Greek Ministry of Education announced today (2/11/2020) that all higher education institutions in Thessaloniki should suspend both their face-to-face classes and face-to-face services until November 17, 2020, as a necessary measure to control the spread of coronavirus. CITY College has already moved all classes and services on online delivery in real-time and will continue to do so until the situation is resolved.

As a result of today's announcement the library, the labs and the premises of CITY College will not be physically accessible to the students until November 17, 2020.
However, CITY College academic staff, student services staff, library, career, employability and enterprise centre, and all administration continue their work and are available to contact them.

Shifting classes online for 15 days

Following the latest COVID-19 updates and the emergency announcement by the Greek Prime Minister on Thessaloniki going to lockdown, CITY College has decided to move all classes online for 15 days - starting on Friday, 30 October 2020 - to control the spread of coronavirus and protect our community.

Our campus will remain open during the normal operating hours while all academic staff, student services, library, labs, career and employability and all administration will continue to be physically accessible, fully operational and remain at our students’ disposal to support the online classes.

At CITY College we have in place the technology, expertise and experience to offer our top-quality education provision on-line to ensure that our students will be able to continue with their studies online at the highest level, as the virtual classroom will accommodate all features of a normal classroom.

The safety and security of all students and staff remains our absolute priority.

Welcoming you back on campus for face-to-face education 
We are pleased to inform you that the Ministry of Education of Greece announced (24/8/2020) that all institutions of higher education in Greece can return to face-to-face teaching for the new academic year starting in October. All courses will, therefore, be delivered in person in class, and the library and labs will be open and accessible to students.
As always, the safety and security of all is our absolute priority and we will fully implement all suggested safety measures across the campus. We are happy to welcome you all physically back on campus.
